Who handles election services for Village at Towne Center?

Village at Towne Center is located in Maricopa County, so elections are handled through the Maricopa County Elections Department, 510 S. Third Ave., Phoenix. Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and the phone number is 602-506-3535.

Where can I find out more information about the election?

The Maricopa County Elections Department has two websites that can help you - the main Maricopa County Election Department website and the Maricopa County Voter Dashboard at BeBallotREADY.vote.

I'm not sure I'm currently registered to vote. How can I find out if I'm registered?

You can find most or the information you need at BeBallotREADY.vote. You can also check to see if you are registered through the Maricopa County Elections Department website’s Voter Registration Status page. To use the system, you will be asked to supply your date of birth, last name, and your house address number.

Who can register to vote?

Any U.S. citizen born on or before November 5, 2006, can register to vote. If you've had a name and/or address change, you MUST register again.


What are the requirements to register to vote?

You must be registered 29 days prior to an election to be eligible to vote in that election. For this election, that date is October 7, 2024. State law requires Arizona residents meet the following criteria to register:

• A citizen of the United States of America. This includes any U.S. citizen who has never resided in the United States but whose parent is a United States citizen registered to vote in Arizona (A.R.S. § 16-103).
• 18-years old on or before the date of the next general election.
• A resident of Arizona for 29 days preceding the election.
• Not convicted of a felony or treason, unless civil rights have been restored.
• Able to write his or her name or make his or her mark, unless physically disabled.
• Not adjudicated an incapacitated person (A.R.S. § 14-5101).
  
  

What is the deadline to register to vote?

Voter registration for the 2024 General Election ends Monday, October 7.

What are my options for registering to vote?

You can register online at Maricopa County Elections Department website. To register online, your will need an Arizona driver’s license or a state ID. The deadline for online registration is October 7.

You can also register in person at the Maricopa County Elections Department, 510 S. Third Ave., Phoenix. Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. To register in person, you'll need two forms of identification, both showing your name and one showing your current address. Naturalized citizens also need the date and place (city and court) of naturalization. In-person registration ends October 7.

What are my options for voting?

Voters have three voting options: Vote By Mail, Early Voting, and Election Day Voting. 

How can I Vote by Mail?

Arizona is a no-excuse Vote-By-Mail state, so any registered voter can vote by mail. Maricopa County voters can request a one-time ballot to be sent by mail to your residence or mailing address on file, or to a temporary mailing address for the November 5 General Election HERE.  

The deadline to request a Vote-By-Mail ballot for this election is Friday, Oct. 25. With anticipated increased interest in mail ballots this year, it is advisable to make the request as soon as possible.

Voters may also sign up at the same site for the Active Early Voting List.

What is the Active Early Voting List?

Maricopa County’s Active Early Voting List (AEVL) allows a voter to automatically receive a ballot by mail for every election they are eligible to vote in. You can sign up HERE.

I’ve requested Vote-By-Mail ballot. When should I expect to receive it?

Vote-By-Mail ballots will be mailed out beginning on October 9. The last official day to mail your ballot back is October 29 but we would recommend putting them in the mail no later than October 22 to ensure they arrive in time to be counted.

Is voting by mail safe and secure?

Yes. Voting by mail is extremely secure and safe. All ballot affidavit envelopes require a signature that is compared against a known signature on the official voter registration file. Maricopa County has internal controls and tracking methods for ballot security beginning from when the ballot is initially mailed, to how voted ballots are transported from the post office to onsite security and more. Maricopa County performs multiple audit checks before and after ballots are tabulated. Only verified ballots are counted. All uncounted ballots and the reason are included in the official canvass. 

Is there a location where I can drop off my Vote-By-Mail ballot?

While all Vote Centers serve as early ballot drop off locations, voters can also drop off completed early ballots at secure drop-box-only locations and at drive-through drop-box locations, which will provide voters with a contactless, early ballot return experience. The Fountain Hills Voting Center will be located in the Fountains United Methodist Church, 15300 N Fountain Hills Blvd, and will be available starting on October 25.

I don't trust the Post Office to deliver my Vote-By-Mail ballot in time. How else can I vote?

You can also choose Early Voting, which runs from October 9 through November 5, where you can vote in person on weekdays and some weekends. You may want to bring a book in case there is a line. The Fountain Hills Voting Center will be located in the Fountains United Methodist Church, 15300 N Fountain Hills Blvd, and will be available starting on October 25. You can also vote early at Cornerstone Family Church, 10215 N Saguaro Blvd, on November 4.

What if I only want to vote in person on Election Day, November 5?

You can always cast a ballot the traditional way by voting on November 5. Voters can choose to vote at any Vote Center in Maricopa County, which will be open October 9 through November 5, including evenings and weekends.

The Fountain Hills Voting Center will be located in the Fountains United Methodist Church, 15300 N Fountain Hills Blvd. Polls open at 6:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM. You may want to bring a book in case there is a line.

You can also vote at Cornerstone Family Church, 10215 N Saguaro Blvd, and at the Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 N La Montana, on November 5.
